Educational material for existing operational oceanographic products and services

ECOOP (European COastal-shelf sea OPerational observing and forecasting system)

These wiki pages are intended to collect all of the scientific and technical documentation on operational oceanographic products and services in order to organize a systematic description for educational and training purposes. The material includes:

Specification of operational oceanographic products from all the European coastal/shelf forecasting systems;
Available services with technical details on system functions;
Product formats, data exchange protocols and archiving systems;
Quality control and verification procedures for achieving ECOOP standards;
Best practice in the field of ocean forecasting;
Software tools for visualizing and downloading operational products.

Training material is organized according to the table below. For each area the pages related to observational material may be accessed (when available) clicking on OBS and those related to modelling material clicking on MOD. For each macro-area and for each sub-area information is to be found according to the following templates (mod., obs.).
